Behold! The Apple Turnover Biodiesel Processor!
--The Ultimate Hot Water Heater Based Processor--

It started life as a regular GE 50 Gallon Water Heater.

From there, the bottom was torn off.
Then a hole was drilled right in the center and a fitting was welded into place

It was then turned upside down, plumbed, and mounted to a cart.

What you have is a bonified cone-bottom (well, ok, more like dish bottom) water heater that'll completley drain the glycerin.

More pictures of this cool thing are here:

It's also being discussed in an Infopop Thread here:

GreenGo just updated his processor and sent me lot's more pictures.

They're now posted in the same gallery.

He just added a standpipe inside the water heater:

It turned out great!

I love the new labels he's stuck on it:

I also started a new thread on the changes.

He finally got around to using it too and it's churning out great biodiesel. He even sent me a sample. Looks awesome!

Is it necessary to weld a new fitting in the top (or what was the bottom of the water heater)? Couldn't the original drain fitting serve the same purpose?

Thanks,

Kevin
